How to select subjects for IAS?

In my previous blog I shared some useful information about how to become an IAS in this post I am going to advice you how to select your subjects.

Selecting the subjects for IAS preparation is the most difficult task so one should wisely choose the subject.

The best way to choose the subjects which are of your interest so you can easily cover the subject. If you are still confused regarding the selection of subject you should go through the syllabus of each subject and try to study the topics in brief if you find something interesting select the one.

And the most important thing is never to change the subject after giving an attempt as it can lead to more problem as you have to start from the scratch.So the best way is to stick what you have opted in-spite of your one or two failure and do more hard work and you will get the success for sure.

If you still feel the problem persist then you can go to some counselor for reference where they can help you in selecting the subjects.
There is a possibility that UPSC will change the pattern and there may be no optional subject from next time. UPSC is thinking to make a common exam for each individual to take the best out. They want to have individual having sound knowledge about country,country economy,affairs etc. So be ready for surprises that might be given by the UPSC in the years to come by.
So without worrying about the pattern that is going to be changed start working hard and achieve your goal.
